Qualifications
California Broker’s License #01459407:
Experience: A minimum of two years full-time licensed salesperson experience is required, along with successful completion of a state administered broker’s exam, and successful completion of the following statutorily required college-level courses:
- Real Estate Practice
- Legal Aspects of Real Estate
- Real Estate Finance
- Real Estate Appraisal
- Real Estate Economics or Accounting
- Real Estate Principals
- Escrows
Certified Residential Specialist (CRS):
Experience: To earn the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) Designation, every REALTOR® must have significant experience and demonstrate volume of real estate transactions or gross sales, as well as complete rigorous educational requirements.
Ethics: Every CRS designee is required to maintain membership in the National Association of Realtors® and to abide by its strict subheader of Ethics.
Technology Expertise: The training available to CRS designees includes a strong
focus on technology and its applications in the real estate business.
The Top 4 Percent: Less than 4 percent of all licensed Realtors® are
Certified Residential Specialists.

Bio:
With over 75 years of combined real estate experience in his immediate family alone, Michael LaPeter is no stranger to the real estate industry. Indeed, he’s been immersed in it his entire life.
Michael’s parents, who ran several successful brokerages in addition to traveling the country as a trainer for the real estate industry, provided him with a depth of training few other Realtors® can match.
Real estate may be in his blood, but that doesn’t stop Michael from actively taking every opportunity to learn more to better serve his clients.
Michael is an expert in the San Francisco real estate market and new developments, and has both a California state salesperson’s license and a California state broker’s license. He is also a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), the highest designation awarded by the National Association of Realtors and held by only the top 4% of Realtors nationwide. Michael is also a member of the San Francisco Association of Realtors, California Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors. In addition, he serves on the governmental relations committee for the San Francisco Association of Realtors to stay involved on the political aspects of new developments. Michael is also a member of Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate, an invitation only network of luxury real estate brokers in 65 countries worldwide.
A specialist in condos and new developments in San Francisco, Michael founded www.SFCondoSales.com to help out of area buyers learn more about the complex San Francisco real estate market. His writings have also been featured in several local blogs and Yahoo News.
Originally from Southern California and later Sun Valley, Idaho, Michael has lived in the Bay Area for several years and is an expert on many of the distinct San Francisco neighborhoods. Michael has helped clients successfully buy and sell throughout the city, with a special focus on the South Beach, SOMA and Mission Bay neighborhoods.
